Maths is a subject that people of all ages can struggle with. I am of the belief that, with the correct help and encouragement, everybody is able to learn this important subject.
If your child struggles with the basics of maths such as times tables, mental and written methods for the four basic operations, fractions, decimals and percentages, then they can find it hard as they advance through school to apply these methods to more complex questions. I can provide help and support to get them to become proficient with these basic skills which will enable them feel more confident with their school work.
As well as supporting pupils in preparation for the tests at the end of Key Stage 2, I aim to get them to enjoy learning maths and not just see it as something to study to pass a test. I try and add an element of fun into my lessons and have had success with students who have come to me not enjoying maths at primary school to then go on and really succeed in the subject at secondary.
I have successfully helped numerous children with Key Stage 2 Maths over the years, with many staying with me as they progress to secondary school.
